Lactation Consultants Who Are Also Healthcare Providers

Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for your baby. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) recommend exclusively breastfeeding babies for at least 6 months. Even the CDC recommends breastfeeding—for both the baby’s health and the mother’s.

As a lactation-dedicated healthcare service, Cycle Female Health & Lactation Clinic is here to support your desire to give your baby the best possible start on life. We’re the only lactation and breastfeeding specialist in West Hills offering insurance-covered lactation services. We welcome pregnant women and new mothers as patients, and their families and partners for education and support.

How We Help

As lactation consultants and healthcare providers, we order tests and imaging, prescribe medication, and do specialty referrals. Through this combined approach to lactation support, we can treat most breastfeeding issues, including education and training.

  • Addressing flat/inverted nipples

  • Milk pumping/supply maintenance

  • Helping cracked/sore nipples

  • Reversing nursing strikes

  • Help with engorgement/mastitis

  • Clogged duct relief

  • Managing nipple confusion

  • Lactation with health concerns

  • Spouse/family education

Benefits of IBCLC Service

Insurance-Friendly Payment

As the only single provider for insurance-covered lactation services in-network with all major insurance providers. We’ll happily confirm your coverage.

Mother-Focused Care

Breastfeeding starts with mom. We offer mothers insurance-covered breastfeeding consultation and lactation-related medical care for healthy, successful breastfeeding.

Mother & Child Health

Breastfeeding provides your baby with excellent nutrition and an immunity boost. It also reduces your risk of breast/ovarian cancers, type 2 diabetes, and high blood pressure.

The Treatment Process

The Consultation

Mothers experiencing issues with breastfeeding and lactation often feel pain and frustration mixed with no small helping of self-doubt. Our consultation lets you talk about all of the physical and emotional issues you’re feeling, in a safe space. We will listen closely to you, truly hearing you, and offer consolation even as we create a personalized treatment plan.

An Action Plan

After examining your breasts and analyzing your concerns, issues, and lab results (as needed), Kristine Santoian, OBGYN, IBCLC, designs your unique treatment plan. The staff at Cycle Clinic will work together to help you every step of the way, and educate your support group (family, partners, close friends) so that you and your baby have what you need.

Rewarding Results

The sense of relief, joy, and hope are hard to describe when your child latches on well and receives the best nourishment possible. And even if breastfeeding stops being an option, our team will help you understand the best ways to feed your baby, so that you can still keep that sacred bond that grows between a mother who cares and the baby she loves.

Support Designed For Mothers
